
So many mountains , so many climbers, so many summits, ok
here we go:
1.) Japanese climber Hirotaka Takeuchi summited Manaslu on Saturday.
This was his 9th 8000 meter summit. He plans G2 and Broad Peak later this
year.
2.)
As per the report from Liason Officer, one team leader Mr. Sagaste Ayesa
Santiago (34 yrs) of Spain, and one member Mr. Valencia Martinez Ricardo (48
yrs) of spain, of "International Dhaulagiri Expedition Spring 2007" team died by
burying by the avalanche during their accent to Camp II of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167
meters) on 12 May, 2007 at 9:00 a.m.
The above mentioned expedition team comprising of 8 members was permitted to
climb 8167m. high Mt. Dhaulagiri from Normal Route for the period of 75 days
from 8 April, 2007 under the leadership of Mr. Sagaste Ayesa Santiago of Spain.
The handling agency of the expedition team is Monterosa Treks and Expedition
Pvt. Ltd. Kathmandu, Nepal.
This Ministry expresses
deep sorrow for their untimely demise of life.
3.) As per the
report of Liaison officer, the following five members of "Dhaulagiri-I Inaki
Expedition" team successfully climbed Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167 meters) from the
normal route on the following dates and the time stated respectively.
26 April,

1. Mr. Ignacio Ochoa De Olza (40 yrs), Spain at 3:00 P.M
2. Mr. Jorge Egocheaga Rodriguez (39 yrs), Spain at 4:30 P.M
29 April,
2007
1. Mr. Renzo Benedetti (52 yrs), Italian at 3:00 P.M
1 May, 2007
1. Ms. Joelle Brupbacher (29 yrs), Swiss at 9:00 P.M
2. Mr. Horia Dan Colibasanu (30 yrs), Romania at 7:00 P.M
The above
mentioned expedition team comprising of 8 members was permitted to climb 8167m.
high Mt. Dhaulagiri from the normal Route for the period of 75 days from 29
March, 2007 under the leadership of Mr.Ignacio Ochoa De Olza of Spain.
The
handling agency of the expedition team is Cho Oyu Trekking Pvt. Ltd. Kathmandu,
Nepal.
4.) As per the
report of Liaison officer from base camp, the following three members and two
high altitude workers of "For Hope 2007 Korea Expressway Corporation Lhotse
Expedition" team successfully climbed Mt. Lhotse (8516 meters) from the normal
route on 4 May, 2007 at 8:23 A.M.

5. Mr. Junghyun Youn ( 37 yrs), South Korea

7. Mr. Dorjee Sherpa (38 yrs),Tapting-9, Solukhumbu, Nepal
The above
mentioned expedition team comprising of 11 members was permitted to climb 8516m.
high Mt. Lhotse from the normal Route for the period of 75 days from 30 March,
2007 under the leadership of Mr. Yeon Ryong Kang of South Korea.
The
handling agency of the expedition team is Trekking Camp Nepal Pvt. Ltd.
Kathmandu, Nepal.
5.) As per the
report from Liason Officer and the Team Leader, one member Mr. Sergio Dalla
Longa (48 yrs), permanent resident of Italy of "Italian Dhaulagiri I Expedition"
team died by falling 8100 meters down the crevasse during his accent to Mt.
Dhaulagiri (8167 meters) on 29 April, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
The above
mentioned expedition team comprising of 7 members was permitted to climb 8167m.
high Mt. Dhaulagiri from North-East Rifge for the period of 75 days from 23
March, 2007 under the leadership of Mr. Mario Merelli Gain of Italy.
The
handling agency of the expedition team is Thamserku Trekking Pvt. Ltd.
