Last year we counted over 480 Summits of Everest. Soon we will have 100's more. We expect over 500 in 2007! Maybe many more... In the next week unless things change expect 100's of summits.... There are now so many to count ... well 2 of recent note.

Pemba Dorje Sherpa, climbing to the summit without oxygen and Furba Sherpa from Dolakha district climbed to the summit according to their people for the  eight ruling parties in Nepal and put  portraits of Apostle of Peace Gautam Bhuddha at the summit of 8,848 meters height. Pemba Dorje of course claimed the world record three years ago by summiting Everest in just eight hours ten minutes. He was a member of the Noguchi Expedition this season. This was Pemba 6th summit of Everest...
