 Himalajai 2008 Dhaulagiri : Summit attempt aborted | |||

Information from Dhaulagiri BC: Today the two memebers (Vladas Kalvaitis and Danguole Bickuniene) descended from camp 2 to BC. Expedition leader Saulius Vilius and Zangbu sherpa that yesterday reached 7200 m. after very windy night were diging out the tent for 1 hour. Because of very deep snow, dangerous route conditions and not good weather forecast the two decided to abort summit push. Today they descended to camp 1. As it almost all day snowing in BC and camp 1 the descending route from camp 1 to BC became very problematic. Tomorrow hope to send You more information as we hope the leader will descend to BC
