  Poland Film Festival


Since 1999, Lodz has been the host of the Explorers Festival, the programme of which includes meetings with the stars of the world’s Himalayan climbing, sports, extreme sports, famous discoverers and travellers, as well as mountaineering film shows, sports competitions, exhibitions and workshops. Beside Polish celebrities, such as Krzysztof Wielicki, Wojtek Kurtyka, Andrzej Zawada, Marek Kamiński, presentations have been given by: sir Christian Bonington, sir Edmund Hillary, Reinhold Messner, Borge Ousland, Catherine Destivelle, Marko Prezelj, Leo Houlding, Heinz Zak, Kurt Albert, Michael Brown, prof. Bertrand Piccard, Don Walsh, Stephan Eberharter, Erhard Loretan, Stefan Glowacz, Kurt Diemberger, Robert Jasper, etc.

Main Polish mass media are festival patrons.  Festival is non profit. Entry is free. >From 19th to 23th November 2008, the 10th Explorers Festival will be held.

One of the main part of the festival is The VISUAL FORMS AND ART OF PRESENTATION CONTEST – ARTSHOW. The Grand Prix – Golden Frame – (3000 euro). I hope you will send your films to the contest.
