  Ed Viesturs still climbing and helping others


On July 8th Ed Viesturs was one of the lead guides on Mt Rainier for the United Way of King County's Charitable Climb for the Community. Viesturs and Peter Whittaker lead a team consisting of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Seahawks Head Coach Jim Mora, Seahawks CEO Tod Leiweke and others to the summit of Mt. Rainier to raise money and awareness for the United Way. Close to $380,000 to date has been raised during the climb. For more info see http://www.uwkc.org/climb/

Viesturs recently returned from Mt. Everest, having reached the summit for his 7th time on May 19th. This was also his 203rd summit of Mt. Rainier.
