Polish Winter Broad Peak Expedition 2010-2011

The second group of Polish Winter Broad Peak Expedition arrived in Islamabad on 16th January led by Artur Hajzer. Despite cancellation of two earlier flight to Skardu we manage to reserve their seats for Skardu the same day of their arrival in Pakistan on request. After resting few hours in Islamabad the five members team by their good luck got boarding for Skardu flight the same morning of 16th and reached Skardu. In Skardu the group did not wasted their time and gone out for acclimatization around Sadpara lake and return by the evening.

The next day on 17th again the group manage to reached an altitude of 3500m and on 18th the group manage to reach an altitude of 4000m. In the mean time we organize their flight arrangement by Mi-17 for the 19th. Be remember after arriving on 16th in Skardu the Skardu weather was close for two days 17th and 18th with no flights.

Lucky again the group manage to fly by helicopter on 19th with 5 members and one crew without any problem and reported landed at base camp successfully. Earlier the first team establish c2.

Now at base camp all 9 members two HAPS Mohammad Ali and Raza from Sadpara and our crew Ishaq and Mosin are ready for 8 weeks winter experience and Insha Allah make a new mountain history.

Good luck
