A 27 years lady Miss. Chhurim Sherpa from Kanchenjunga region, Lelep – 9,
Ghunsa, Taplejung of Mechi zone has conquered Mt. Everest twice within 11
days. As at, No women has climbed Mt, Everest even in one mountaineering
season but a brave Sherpa lady from Ghunsa made it within 11 days Base Camp –
Summit – Base Camp - Summit. Therefore, this is a new World Record in the
field of mountaineering industry. She has made her 1st summit on 12th May and
2nd summit on 19th May as she has started her 1st summit push on 9th May with
her team members from base camp and successfully reached on the top of the
World, summit of Mt. Everest on 12th May and then she descent to Base Camp,
took few days rest and again started her 2nd summit push on 17th May straight
to Camp II, 18th May to Camp IV skipping Camp I and III, therefore it proves
that she is too strong and extra ordinary to climb the mountains. Normally, on
the mountaineering climbers can spent each night at each camp and then attempt
the summit.
About her mountaineering backgrounds, Miss. Sherpa has completed basic
Mountaineering training conducted by NMA and NMIA, She has climbed Mera Peak
(6654m) & Island Peak (6160m) etc.
