Power Breakfast
Eat well to climb well. Guides Nick, Sam, and Dylan prepare a feast of bacon,
eggs, and blueberry pancakes to power the team through snow school and up to
high camp. The weather is terrific and we are excited to move up the mountain.

Aug. 28-30 3-day Climb
The 3-day team had surprisingly fantastic weather, unlike what the weather
forecast predicted! The team enjoyed great views during the training day at
Camp Muir before moving up to Ingraham Flats. Three climbers made the summit,
with lighter winds than expected at the top. All are safely down and headed
back to Seattle.
August 26-28 Rainier Team
The team has successfully moved to high camp with everyone feeling strong and
is currently resting up for a summit bid early tomorrow morning. High winds
are forecasted, but right now, we're enjoying sunny skies and only a light
breeze. We'll see what tomorrow brings!
August 26 Rainier Trip at CampMuir
All our group arrived and had a great burrito meal! Thank you Dylan. We
witnessed a beautiful lenticular cloud as we hiked up which dissipated as we
got up to Camp Muir. It's still a bit breezy up here, but we are looking
forward the move to The Flats, our high camp.

6-day course enjoying Mt. Shuksan
Eitan Green called in to say he and Matt Nightengale are having a great time
with the group on the Aug. 19-24 6-day course. They are up on Mt. Shuksan
practicing crampon technique, movement on a rope team on glaciated terrain,
crevasse rescue, knots, and other skills that will enable them to safely
attempt Mt. Shuksan before the end of the course.
Aug. 20-22 3DM Summits!
Dave Heinbach just checked in after a successful summit climb on the
Disappointment Cleaver route. He says they had a fun wind event at high camp
last night, but things calmed down and they were able to climb in fairly calm
conditions. The team is heading out and will be back in Seattle this evening.
August 18-20 Muir
Three teams topped out on the summit of Mt. Rainier early this morning. Light
wind, cooler temps and a beautiful sunrise met the climbers.
