Dear EverestNews readers,
Well - I'm back in
Kathmandu again! The people of Nepal are quite literally celebrating in
the streets, following the ceasation of 3 weeks of curfews and extreme
Monarch rule.
Kathmandu, it seems, has
breathed a huge sigh of relief and there is a definate feeling of a more
relaxed and friendly nature - which is quite typical of Nepal.
Our expedition is now in
full swing, and after a busy arrival day and another of preparation, we
are ready for our planned departure from Kathmandu to Lukla early
tomorrow morning. We are quite a small team of strong, dedicated
climbers, which should make this expedition a very enjoyable one.
