Hello there, Nickolay Shustrov
wants to invite everyone to participate in a speed climb competition to Mount
Elbrus, one of the seven summits. Sounds like a challenging and interesting
race. Please read down.
Nickolay Shustrov climbed
with both Vladimir Balyberdin and Anatoliy Boukreev. He was in Balyberdin's
team to participate in Championats of USSR from 1984 till 1987 etc etc ...
Vladimir was a person who left a deep trace in his personality.
One of his ideas was the one
to make speed climb competition to Mt. Elbrus! The consequence was interrupted
by Vladimir's death...
For long time that was
nothing but a dream to restart the competition but 3 years ago he managed to
do that!!!!
4th Elbrus Race will take
place on 15-17 September 2008.I
Nickolay Shustrov,
Master of Sports in
mountaineering,
member of Balyberdin climbing
team,
1990 Elbrus race participant
with 5-th result (2h12min from Priut 11), Camel Trophy 93 participant
