Sunset on
Shishapangma from Base Camp |
Dispatch 8: Hello EverestNews.com. This is Arnold again for
the SummitClimb Shishapangma Expedition 2006. Today we had our second rest
day in ABC after descending from Camp 2 at 6,900 meters. So far only three
people have summated the central summit of Shishapangma this season and there
is no real fixed route to the summit, neither to the main summit or the
central summit.
Our plan is to set out to Camp 1 tomorrow. We have to be
quick because we are the last ones on the mountain and the season is getting
later. Every day is getting colder, and the days are getting shorter and
shorter. So I hope we are lucky this time and you will hear from us in Camp
1. Bye bye
