Sunset on
Shishapangma from Base Camp |
Dispatch 11: Hello EverestNews.com. Here is
Arnold again from the SummitClimb Shishapangma Expedition from ABC. It
is still very, very windy here in ABC and freezing cold. It looks like
it's going to be like this or worse for more than a week. All our
members sat down together and we came to the conclusion they are too weak to
try the mountain in these conditions. So we also took down Camp 1 from
the mountain.
Shishapangma has won this time. But we are also happy, having the
unique experience of having 8,000 meter peak all for ourselves. Right
now we'll have to see when our yaks can come to ABC to bring us back home.
So, until that, this is it for now. Bye bye, and you'll here me
next time.
